It appears that Hostgator has finally resolved the DNS and SSL Certificate issues with all of the domains. While this did not impact the ability of the remote search pages to access the SQL server it did make it impossible to access the actual bbn-net.com and brokersnetworkgroup.com websites. 
This weekend and next week I will be checking the websites for any possible errors despite being able to access the files and databases.
