We began using Alexa to track our rankings over two decades ago. It has been a useful tool in tracking which changes have been the most beneficial and as an indicator of when Google has make algorithm changes. Sadly the Alexa ranking service will be shutting down on May 1, 2022.

I have looked into other services and it is surprising just how many SEO subscription services include the data provided by Alexa as a part of their services. It will be interesting to see what happens to the SEO industry in the second half of 2022.
