If you have listings that are over one year old you need to resubmit them to the web site and delete the older listing or the web site will automatically remove them after they have been on the site for 12 months.

Do you have any listings that are not showing up on the web sites that you need to copy information from but that are no longer available on the site? Please send Robert an e-mail with the listing number along with your best estimate of the last edit date and he can search for it and then reinstate the listings during his nightly site maintenance. Robert can restore a listing once it has been purged. But cannot exclude a listing from the automated data purge. This uses the original date that the listing was entered into the system as the expiration date of the listing. Restoring a listing will not cause it to be included in the Automated Search only to be added back into that data file of listings.

Before this automatic program was added, back in April of 1999, we had listings that had expired or been sold two years prior and were still on the web site. The most common complaint we received from brokers and buyers is that the listing was still up and it has either expired or been sold. This hurts all brokers.

We have some brokers that replace their listings when they have been in the system for six months to get them back to the top of the search. You will be receiving this notice each month. This will also bring them back to the top of the search.

Additionally the new listing number ensures that the listing is reviewed for matches by the Automated Search. The Automated Search only matches new listings when they are added to the system. Edits are not matched up by the auto-search.
